Agree. I don't have the connection service in my 2017 with PCM4 so can't update over the air as no subscription is possible. Just had Carplay retrofitted a few weeks back. Now use Waze and have live traffic data. Much better solution. No yearly update fee for the maps either.

So no more on line updates, assuming this info is correct…

The subscription for the Connect system (not the rubbish VF system) at £120 is more than updates it provides the traffic maps and online services.

Only today it saved me getting stuck on the Motorway which was a tad snarled up.

Def agree it saves time.
But the previous posting suggests that despite all indications and communication cars pre ‘17 are not permitted the map updates even if they’ve paid for them.
If it’s the case I’m not surprised given the chaos that surrounds PCM application maintenance.

Just updated my MY17 SD with 2022 maps, after having CarPlay enabled a week ago - all done by a trusted and well established third party. Now as up to date as Porsche tech gets !

Can someone with a brand new Macan please post an image of their Map version?

My subs run out soon on the traffic info etc and if I cannot get the map updated I will forget about subscribing.

Thanks for the info.

I let my Subs expire and have no thoughts about spending cash on a subscription service that is no vfm.
