ORDERING NEW CAR
Sports Chrono is not the most desirable extra, but I feel is expected on a GTS. It also gives much quicker/ easier access to the Sport button as it's on the steering wheel. Like the Compass it also breaks up the dash expanse and provides a clock that both the driver and passengers can easily see.

I have sport chrono fitted to my 2017 turbo. I’ve used it a handful of time’s. I haven’t launched the car but this is the biggest appeal of SC imo. Also in sport plus there’s no upshift farts hence why I’ll use sport instead.
Saying that, I’d always spec it. Helps with resale and makes the dash look a bit nicer, also has LC and faster shift times when activated. For £800 or so, it’s a drop in the ocean on a 70K plus car.

On a post Facelist i.e 2019 Models years onwards SC brings the steering wheel circular switch for switching between drive modes. Even on my modest "S" I find this useful and I would argue makes the SC less of a marginal spec choice.

Had it on mine, used it a handful of times but there is a “expectation” of SC on a GTS
(and the point about the facelift having easier access through the control on the steering wheel is very valid too; much more subtle if you have a nervous co-pilot)

Wouldn’t say it’s a total resale killer but is very much expected on a GTS I would say. Used buyers tend to be very fussy and want everything they expect and if there are a choice of cars for sale I would reckon the GTS with Chrono will go quicker. Also looks a lot better with the clock on the dash which is why many buyers select it and never really use the features.
