Fuel filler flap

Good afternoon gents, I have just discovered that my fuel flap does not lock, you can open it when the car is locked!
I have tried unlocking & re locking etc, looked @ handbook and it infers that this shouldn’t happen as there is an emergency release. I have checked that out inside the o/s boot lining door as per handbook, and pulling that etc has not reset it.
Anyone got any ideas? I guess it’s a warranty issue. I need to get this sorted as it has the expensive alloy fuel cap fitted!

BTW, the "alloy" fuel cap is (IIRC) aluminum-looking plastic (in the US).

Thanks for your reply, you do remember correctly but it’s still bloody expensive for a petrol cap!

I discovered a thread on here going back to 2017 and the actuator was mentioned so it’s off to our Newley opened OPC to see how they perform!
