Hi guys,
Picked up my Macan Turbo this Saturday and wow what a great car, generally I’m impressed with it however there are a few issues that I have, this one being a slight gap around the roof console. Is this a common thing, does anyone else have it? The roof lining in mine is alcantara and there is a slight gap round the sides and you can see the white plastic inside. Generally the car is in excellent condition but this is a little annoying. One other thing is the passenger window switch is also broken.

Is it a second hand car? It may well be that someone removed the roof console to fit a dashcam or similar and broke some clips in the process.

It may also have been displaced if a new windscreen was fitted, and perhaps the fitter was not familiar with Porsche trim removal.

A photo would help to illustrate your situation.

Thx!

I recall seeing this video a while back. There's a company in Chobham, Surrey GU24 8ED, called D Class Automotive Interiors (http://www.dclass.co.uk/) that specialise in repairing car interiors. This particular video from Seen Through Glass, is about a steering wheel on a Ferrari 360 being retrimmed, however, I'm sure they would be equally good with the roof trim.

Here's the link (hope it's useful):

Thanks for the replies, looking at it again it doesn’t seem quite right to me. The dealer assured me they didn’t remove a dash cam.

That’s a bit rubbish, and definitely not right. Dealer should rectify IMO

Hi. I had a similar issue. I eventually was brave enough to pull it down and in the process bent the one remaining spring clip and established one was missing and must had been broken by previous owner. Was able to bend he one remaining clip in such a way that it now looks much better but not as secure or tight as it would be with 2 clips. Keep meaning to see if I can replace the clip but suspect it may be part of the console hence it’s never been replaced. Now I see yourS is the same think more so.
