How do you pull that kind of info up, is from the My Porsche dashboard?
Transfer Box replacement out of warranty
Ask your dealer for a print out of your build spec - I think they call it a VIN number report.
Shows the exact spec of your vehicle, warranties etc.

I would worry that a change of oil is simply putting of the inevitable failure, and fobbing off a few customers untill they pay for replacement themselves or there's so much slip the car is only two wheel drive.Counter Of Beans wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 11:17 am This service action: can I just call my OPC and ask for "one transfer box fluid change, free of charge, please"? Or is it not that simple? My car is six months out of warranty.

Hmmm! Good point, as mine will come with 2 years warranty, maybe I am better not paying for an oil change and run it for a while.Rab J wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 9:15 pmI would worry that a change of oil is simply putting of the inevitable failure, and fobbing off a few customers untill they pay for replacement themselves or there's so much slip the car is only two wheel drive.Counter Of Beans wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 11:17 am This service action: can I just call my OPC and ask for "one transfer box fluid change, free of charge, please"? No recall on the OPC used I am hoping to collect next week, just thought whilst it was at the dealership, I would get them to do a precautionary fluid change, but think I will leave it and if a problem with the transfer box at a later date, claim for a new box. But as mine will be a MY18, hopefully will be okay.

An update on my issue having just returned from the OPC...
They have diagnosed the transfer box is faulty and needs replacing. A replacement unit is being ordered and will be fitted later this month.
The car is not currently under a Porsche warranty (will be purchased next month after the 3 month grace period has expired) but the replacement will be FOC.
Like some have reported there is an extended warranty on the drive train however, like most warranties it does require that the car has been properly maintained with no non OEM wheels fitted etc which seems logical to me.
Happy with the outcome and the OPC handled it really well.
