Here in the States, where I have a 2.0 Base, they told me its normal for the 4 cylinder Macans to be a little noisier in the engine and transmission. Dealer was able to reproduce the sound for me on a 4 cylinder service loaner.

I have noticed, however, that there's started to be a slight jerk that comes along with the click. It's almost as if there's a "stumble" or "stutter" in the drivetrain. Are you getting that as well?

I've started to notice it less as time goes on, but if I pay attention, I can still hear the click and feel the stumble. Probably not worth a second service trip, but I will mention it on every service visit and in every survey I receive from Porsche.

I have the 3L petrol and have not noticed any clicking noise. Possibly because the engine is loud enough to obscure it...

...that would have nothing whatsoever with me getting pleasure from the engine sound so pressing the accelerator slightly harder than is necessary...

I don’t recall a clear reason being found for this noise. Others may have more to suggest. I think those who have it simply ignore it and eventually don’t hear it any more.

No one came up with a. cause. I wonder if it is something to do with the transmission and stopping you moving the lever to reverse or park once you have got going. But I don’t know that - and I am not going to try out that theory on my car!

First I've heard of it, doors locking maybe, although
That occurs at 3mph on mine.
