My Turbo does it, but Paul says his SD also did.

I thought it might have something to do with using CC so on a long A road trip yesterday I tried again. Same thing; oil temperature did not vary when sport was engaged over a variety of road conditions.

Nothing to worry about though, it stays very, very constant which is good, isn't it?

Constant study of the graphics on the MFD will cause driver stress and increase the risk of accidents by keeping your eyes off the road Evil Smile.

The main thing to watch out for is change. If oil and/or water temperature take a long time to rise and then reads consistently low it's a possible indication of a thermostat stuck open. A sudden change in value in oil temperature and/or pressure means there is a problem worth investigating.
