My 21 P Zero's are on 16.5k with a little meat left all round, reckon I'll need new in about another 1k. Wear is pretty much even all round, last Beamer used to chew through backs in under 10k, no problem.

Wow. I have constantly got at least 30k from all my tyres and with good amount left on them
Includes SUV Q5 with 21" and various other similar cars. Even 1 of my cars which is 5 years old covering 12k only used 1mm.

90% of my driving is local / urban. Very little motorway.
Maybe I drive like miss daisy.

I was pleased with the amount of tread left on my all season tyres but not sure what to make of only 1mm left of front disc thickness before minimum reached. Anyone know what the new disc thickness is ? Also I note that my invoice does not show any adblue as a part and so not sure if any has been added. In addition the bulk oil make is not specified. I will e mail to ask if any ad blue was put in and what make of engine oil is put in.

New the front discs are 38mm thick, min recommended is 34mm.

Porsche's recommendation is normally replace discs at the same time as the pads.

I

My invoice says Front discs at 33mm with minimum = 32mm
If a front disc for a diesel Macan were say 36mm new that would mean I have used 3/4 of the useable thickness in only 16500 miles which sounds excessive compared to other cars I have owned.mark-yorkshire2017-05-18 20:01:15

Porsche discs have 2mm wear life.
I'm amazed they are only quoting to the nearest mm.
You've got half or more of the disc life left.
Knowing dealers, it means they are 31.Xmm, which means the cars been driven off the forecourt

That's reassuring. With other cars I have had I would expect to get well over 30000 miles plus out of a disc

I had my first service here in Bucharest this week - at 11,000miles and two years. It came to a total of about £580, having 'gone up' 10% in the past few weeks due to the fall in value of the pound! (I am paid in GBP ☹!)

Nothing untoward was picked up. The service included brake fluid and both engine air and cabin/pollen filters - both an extra requirement in dusty environments such as Bucharest. Chatting to the service manager he expressed surprise that the engine air filter in a Panamera is scheduled for change at 90,000km across most of Europe; he doubts that the engine would even start at that mileage on the original filter! I also had the fuel filter changed - not sure if that is done in UK at the 2 year point.

The price also included Ad Blue top up (10 litres at a total cost of about £20). They said that the most they have ever squeezed into the (supposed) 23 litres tank is 17 litres, on a Macan that was indicating empty.

Oh yes, I was also persuaded to go ahead with the infamous 'Re-program DME control unit - campaign number WG22' mod. Rest assured that I will keep the forum (especially Mark-Yorkshire) informed of any problems! Fingers crossed!

£580 doesn't sound too bad, Guy, bearing in mind your 'extras'. :geek:

In the UK the interim (fixed price) is £425 plus £95 for brake fluid change. Interim only includes oil change, new oil filter, new pollen filter, one litre of oil in a top-up pack and a general inspection/test.
