So my pride and joy is only two weeks old and has covered 600 miles. Last night the Regen warning flashed up, I rang the OPC and they advised me to drive it with the revs over 2000rpm for approx 15mins. On my way out this morning I got an Engine warning light come on and the car has gone into limp mode making it impossible to do the regen. So I dropped it into the OPC today who are going to investigate. They have loaned me a very nice Cayenne 4.2 V8 diesel however that has to be returned Monday when I have to contact Porsche for a non Porsche loan car :-(

Sorry to hear about that

And a bit of a poor show that the OPC can't keep you in a Porsche of some kind for the whole time that yours is in for repairs...

You don't get that problem with a petrol car Wink

The V8 diesel Cayenne is awesome and you will hate your Macan afterwards LOL just giving you the heads up!

Tough one that.

These are few and far between, but spending a lot of money and having it back to the dealer so soon is exasperating.

Hopefully something simple.

I was still "taking it easy" at 600 miles and had no problems.

As said elsewhere almost certainly software or possibly a faulty sensor

I had exactly the same issue last week on my car which has done 1000 miles. Regen light, followed by car going into limp home mode. I took the car up and down the local bypass for about 20 mins keeping the engine revs reasonably high. Parked the car, got up the following morning and the faults had disappeared and its been fine since.
