So I am not sure if this is a transferbox issue, seeing as the symptoms does not match what I've read so far on the forums and I've only got 6000 miles on.
When I pull out of a junction or do any sharp turn at low speed with the it is almost like a difflock of sort is on, I can feel the car attempting to fight the turn, sometimes with a noticeable jump and a hop.
Very annoying... at first it was only on full lock turns, but it is getting worse, so every time I have to go around a mini-roundatbout the car is fighting back.
Not spoken to OPC yet.
Do I have a transfer box issue??

Might I suggest that you speak to your dealer now. My previous Cayenne had a new transfer box at 14,000 miles and had exactly the same symptoms as you are experiencing. Like you, I thought that it was something that I had to live with but my dealer said it was a problem and did a replacement under warranty.
So when is this ‘old enough to know better’ supposed to kick in ?

Your first point I have experienced from day one. It’s only ever noticeable in the winter months and once tyres are warm I don’t get it. Basically it happens when I am pulling out the drive.
Your second point about roundabouts doesn’t sound right to me. I would speak to your OPC.
Interesting to hear the outcome. Assume the problems persist even once tyres are warm?

+1 for the Ackerman effect although I don't think I've ever noticed it in my Macan, maybe some cars are more prone than others.
The 911 C4 I had as a loaner the other week was particularly blighted by it, esp in reverse where it just wanted to hop and skip it's way round a radius. Once on the move just fine though.

I thought the Ackerman effect only made the front wheels skip? Had it on 2 x 911s and a Cayman. I still get that issue at the front on the Macan, although much reduced compared to the others, but the skip/hop occurs at the rear, when pulling away under light power with lock on. Not unduly worried though, that's what the warranty is for?
