Bit of a random post, but does anyone know what determines if you get that lovely garggle/pop/spurt from the exhaust when you go a bit top heavy on the accelerator. I have a Macan S petrol and sometimes i get it and sometimes i don't ??

It is like music to my ears when it does it, hence the question.......

I take it that you mean your car does it?

My Turbo does it occasionally in normal mode but does it all the time in sport and I love it!

Seems to be excess fuel combusting in the exhaust manifold in over-run. Probably the sport button does a subtle remap to slightly over fuel in those conditions. – Yup always a smile – how is electric going to do that

+1. My Carrera T makes lovely (childish?) gurgle/burble sounds on over-run when in Sport mode. Doesn't do it in Normal or Sport Plus modes though. Car is clearly programmed to only do it in Sport mode (with PSE switched on). Sounds great (to me) especially in tunnels and other confined spaces. ;)

Had a go at trying to work out how to do it this weekend but there doesn't seem any pattern. Also, the sound on cold start up, that is another fine sound lol
