25mpg in a 3.0L SD?

I find at legal speeds on all roads it is easy to get an indicated 40 mpg on the trip display.

Not city driving obviously.

When you're in the settings menu (the one that shows MPG on the RH clock) press the RH steering wheel button, then scroll over to '2' and that will tell you the figures for all time (unless reset - up to 99.99 hours I believe). That may be more reliable that '1' which is current journey time.

The same can be replicated on the PCM screen by pressing the 'car' button then using the RH rotary knob, scroll across the different screens.

I am of the opinion that my fuel consumption has dropped dramatically since having the latest engine management update installed. Where I would rarely be below 30 mpg, even for short journeys, I am now most well below 30 mpg for short journeys. Longer journeys struggle to get over 35 mpg vs over 40 mpg before. Colder temperatures do make a difference but I am taking that into account.

Not had any update. Did a 22 mile A-road trip today @ 1C temp. and got an all time high of 49.2 mpg showing on the PCM. Admitted at an average of 41mph
