Heard it again. Perhaps coming from front left. Might be a shaft or coupling. Only have heard it on right lock.

I finally had a reply from Porsche GB to my emailed question. I had asked them whether there is, or is not, an extended 7 year UK warranty on the Macan transfer case, such as exists in the USA. The short answer they gave is "no".
I quote "there is no similar communication [to the USA] planned for the UK at present."
But also "Porsche remains committed to support its customers where it is appropriate to do so."

Make of that what you will.

Ah, you got one, cool!

Doesn't matter how many times I share that info, people seem intent on sticking with hearsay.

I have a 2015 Macan S which had the transfer case replaced at 19k miles March 2019. Now in August 2021 at 27K miles the transfer case needs to be replaced once again. Porsche extended the warranty 7yeasr so I was reimbursed $3000for the first replacement. The 2nd replacement is 6 weeks beyond the Porsche extension period of 7 years. It is impossible to speak to anyone at Porsche about this recurring issue and to have them acknowledge they have used faulty transfer cases in their vehicles. How many others are in this same situation?

Yes, many of us would agree, but you only need to make the point once, not scatter the same post around the forum.

One more TC change coming up. 2017 SD.

Symptoms - slipping on pull-away as if with some wheels on gravel, skipping in tight low-speed corners like an old Landy with a locked diff, and grunting when reversing up a slope. Relatively subtle, but now the Mrs is asking questions so time to act.

Purchased used from an OPC 9 months ago, odo 18,000.

More later.
