I won’t bore you with the details of the front camera as they are all a bit samey. Anyway, I have gone for a BlackVue set up again as my original camera lasted for many years and I only got rid as it was no longer supported.

I posted some time ago to see what people had done to find an alternative mounting solution for the rear camera as I didn’t want it on the glass for various reasons. My solution came in the form of a 3D printed bracket that hooks around the headlining. Suffice to say I’m quite chuffed.

Whilst the car was in having rear window replaced I asked if they would connect my hardwire cable for the dash cam. They refused in standard OPC style. They’ll be getting the car back next week anyway, but that’s another story

That's a good idea. Saves having to thread the cable through the tailgate gaiters.

Very clever w/ the rear bracket, but it looks like the camera is too far away from the glass.

It looks like the hatch is limiting the peripheral vision because the camera is too deep into the interior.

These images show my camera placement (mine is on the rear hatch) of my Fitcamx front / rear camera system and the view seen by the camera. Mine does not have the sides obstructed by the hatch.

To be fair they rear image has exceeded my expectations and I’m made up with it.
