how do you know if your phone is actually charging when in the charging cradle, is there a message/icon within the PCM?
my wifes VW tells you on screen every so often that the phone is charging, but not sure about the Macan, if it is charging it is painfully slow.

This is screenshot taken from the Entertainment & Communication section in the Porsche ‘Good to know’ app, which shows the symbol that shows in the PCM when the phone is being charged.

I've given up on mine. If I'm using CarPlay it overheats

In addition to Allan's input (thanjs for that Allan, I hadn't noticed that icon before!) it also pops up this message on initial connection:

Same here OPC said it was working and blamed my non genuine apple iPhone battery but when I said it was the same with my wife’s reasonable new Samsung phone they basically ignored me and still said it was all good.

I now have a new iPhone and it still over heats and doesn’t charge.

I would not waste my money the next time on it as an option. It just takes up space in the compartment.

Either way I would not pay for it or use it. Compared to charging by wire, Wireless charging appears to generate more heat. Heat is what helps contribute to shortening mobile phone battery life

Wireless charging and Induction Hobs work on the same principle.

Maybe someone could design a slim metal case, just big enough for a rasher of bacon, that could be popped into the wireless charger to provide a cooked breakfast at your destination?

Wireless charging is so inefficient I'm surprised the EU haven't banned it.

Surely that will depend on whether you optioned the Smokers Pack, or not.
