Just collected my nice new Macan.
i asked OPC for a quote to hard wire a DC.
SE told me they were unable to even quote, if they did the work,"it may cause a vehicle fire plus may invalidate the Porsche warranty"
Has you ever heard such a lot of unadulterated b******S.

Anyone know how to get this job done as I've no interest in starting to take the car to bits myself??
There are professional installers around. Even Halfords will install although I don’t know what method they use on the Macan.

I am going to have a crack at this on Sunday. I will post pics of the fuse array. From what you say there are empty live unused fuse slots? Why am I surprised; I've been looking at (Blackboxmycar) youtube clips fitting a cam on a Macan and they tap into used fuses and I wonder why they would do that if there was unused slots? I'll ask them.

I believe Halfords do it for £30 if you buy the cam from them else £60

Below is a pic of the passenger side fuse box (Note: in the manual it shows the fuse box on the passenger side as having two rows and the fuse box on the drivers side as three rows AND it shows a pic of a car with the passenger side on the right and the drivers side on the left (all a bit confusing) The passenger side fuse box on my car has two rows as can be seen in the pic. The manual lists the below fuses on the PSFB. I cannot correlate match up this list with what actually exists.

Passenger Side
Row A
1. Diagnostic socket
2. Ignition Lock
3. Light switch
4. Steering column lock
5. Steering column adjustment
6.
7. Steering column switch
8. Diagnostic socket
9. PTC Coil 1 and 2
10.
11. Ioniser
12. Spare 10amp fuse
Row B
1. Spare 5amp fuse
2. Compass / analogue clock, PCM, toll system card reader
3. Steering column switch
4. Instrument cluster
5. Spare 20amp fuse
6. Spare 30amp fuse
7. Pre heater
8. Fresh air fan
9. Windscreen wipers
11. Drivers seat backrest adjustment
11. Passenger's seat backrest adjustment

Yes, as I said in my reply on May 9th, the manual refers to driver and passenger sides as in LHD vehicles, or at least mine does and the fuse rows and numbers do correlate with this.
However, I chose to use two empty fuse slots, identifying one as permanently live and one switched by the ignition position of the key. I used my multimeter needle probes to measure voltage at the pins you can see on one side of each empty fuse holder. IIRC the manual refers to these as unused but I’d have to check to be sure. Hopefully you can identify the pair you need.

You have your rows and your numbering the wrong way round.

In your image, the upper row on the right is Row A. The numbering is from bottom to top. So fuse holders 6 (permanent 12v) and 10 (switched by ignition), the ones I used, are empty. But do check this on your car with a voltmeter.

Numbering it top to bottom or bottom to top still throws up anomalies (which is disconcerting / irritating). I have (in the rain here) put a multimeter on them and get the below results which shows that the empty slots Nick used remain constant/ignition. That's all good and I am planning (hoping) that I can tap into those without activating them i.e. putting a fuse in them - that's the plan.

Owners Manual reading top down _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Right side actual _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Status
1. / 12 Spare 5amp fuse _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _1. 10amp fuse_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ dead

4. / 9 Instrument cluster _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 4. Empty slot_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Ignition
5. / 8. Spare 20amp fuse _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 5. 5amp fuse_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Ignition
6. / 7. Spare 30amp fuse _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 6. 5amp fuse_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ignition

I have not but I have looked and for me, whilst their fitting charges are very reasonable, they expect your to buy one of the cams they sell and at the price they sell them for (which may or may not be the best price). Whether they will fit a cam you've bought elsewhere and how much they charge for that ( I believe) depends on you local store
