I'm pretty certain it's been mentioned, but I can't find it.

How do you input the co-ordinates ie long/lat of a position into the nav system?
These would be the decimal ones ie xx.yyyyyyy, -x.zzzzzzz

I need to go somewhere later this morning,, and the only way I can lock onto the destination is by using that method.
I've been there before years ago, and I know it's not on the normal sat/nav system.

If you go to Nav and then press Opt, there is an option on the Nav menu to enter coordinates.

Or if you have Connect+, type it into google or apple maps on your phone, then share it with PCM Connect app.

If you have the new new new Connect stuff, you can probably skip the PCM Connect app step.

Many thanks to you both.

The option is indeed there but it appears
to only accept deg, mins etc and not the decimal coordiantes - unless of course
it's hidden somewhere and I missed it. Unfortunately I was already on the road
and converting them on my phone would have been a pain.

However, I now know.

Yes, I do have Connect +, I drive a 991.2,
although not sure that I have the new new new PCM. I had the software upgraded
last week, but have not had much time to even activate it in the car - despite
having the code.

What I noticed at home was that if I
googled the coordinates, I got what I wanted. I then did a google online search
in the car with those very same coordinates, and I got somewhere else. I could
have got a digit or two wrong though, but I doubt it as I was very careful. However, I
will try again.

As for my journey, just to be on the safe side, I had identified a place
less than half a mile away on the same road, so I just locked onto that and got
there with no issues.

If you have Connect+ and the PCM Connect app, then the sharing of App POIs has been around for well over a year.

Yes I know. When i first got the car, after several unsuccessful attempts at pairing my iphone app with the PCM, I gave up.
The phone saw the "Porsche_LAN_xxxx", but somehow never accepted the password for my iphone.
I then got very busy, and as it was not something I needed, I forgot all about it.

Of course, it might need a different password.....
Pointers gratefully acknowledged.
