What I have noticed is that the pick up on acceleration from stand still has a lot more immediacy. The "lag" seems to have disappeared.

Thanks for that Nosmo. The information on your PCM is the same as that on mine with the exception of the Version Software. On yours you have a 'K' in front of '3299' whereas mine has a 'P'. So your map data remains as it came with the car, same as mine. I'll quiz Porsche UK to get their view on map updates.
I've no idea why you feel your car to be more responsive. The update on my car was only on the PCM. Did you have work done that might explain the difference?

Nick, I had the pcm update applied in Sptember during a (voluntary) 10k oilchange before a road trip. This update was a software update which apparently wasn't for the PCM. This time round I had the rims swapped as well.
What astounds me again is the drop from 21" to 19" makes such a big difference in how the car feels. In corners, on uneven roads, I feel the momentum of the bigger wheels much more than the smaller ones. I can only describe it as a wobble low down in the car. It is gone completely on the 19" wheels.

Interesting. I also had a voluntary oil change and winters fitted. The PCM update was flagged as being required then, but no other updates on the car.
My winters are the same size as the summers, 20" SDs, but they are more compliant and quieter than the summers. So I guess it's not surprising that you can feel a big difference going from 21" to 19". When I test drove cars on 21's I felt there was a lot of bump/thump going on, although the ride was never unpleasant.
