There's no substitute for RTFM, but in fairness the Macan manual is very strange, and extraordinarily difficult to navigate.

So different from my ex X5. That car was either to be locked down or engine running. I listened to the radio a few times with engine off and the Service Centre said I damaged the battery.
Macan SD Vocano Grey. LEDs, Pano Roof, PSE, Sports Chrono, PASM, Sports Design Mirrors, 21" Sports Classics in Black, lots of other extras.

I was listening to music at the time and the music cut out before the ac.

Same here today. Possibly a 10 minute cut out.

The service centre will generally say anything to make you liable for paying them more.

That said deep discharges of modern batteries or keeping them in discharged state can damage them - but I thought most modern cars just didn't allow you to get that far

Yeah. Out of sheer bloodymindedness I refused to replace the battery until it really gave up and I didn't use BMW to do it either. We are not talking running it flat. It would regularly go into some sort of safe mode and stop the clock etc. A new battery fixed all that.

Well hopefully not like an iPhone where dodgy battery was putting phone into slowdown mode without giving users warning or explanation
