Can Apple Car Play be retro fitted to a 2016 Macan with PCM4 please?

Who/how/how much is it likely to cost as well? Thanks!

It's in Tequipment at £306. http://content3.eu.porsche.com/prod/pag ... country=gb

It states that extra parts may be required if your car doesn't have voice control and navigation.

Perfect, thank you Guy.

I'll check the dealer can do that for me as part of the deal :)

Somewhat bizarrely the Service Mananger at supplying Centre says it cannot be retro fitted....I'll have to point him to the Techquipment brochure today!

Our new Macan is 2017 model year but 2016 registration and its going to be £255 plus VAT and it includes voice control too I think.

TBH, I wouldn't bother. I rarely use it as there are no decent apps that are compatible. I don't use Spotify, and the car has Nav built in.

That's pretty much the same situation/price for ours I suspect.

As ‘happy days’ said, most features are already in the car, BUT the voice activated phone book is brilliant. You can also dictate text messages.
So when is this ‘old enough to know better’ supposed to kick in ?

Cayenne GTS - Mar 2022
Cayenne S - Aug 2019 to Mar 2022
Macan Turbo - Feb 2018 to Aug 2019
Cayenne S - Apr 2015 to Feb 2018
Cayenne - Jul 2013 - Apr 2015
BMW R1250GS - since Dec 2021

Yes, voice control is excellent. Useful if you want to keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel when driving. PCM voice control is all but useless.
I've found that CarPlay live traffic and rerouting in changing conditions to be considerable better than PCM nav, especially on longer journeys.
It seems to be looking ahead much more so doesn't wait until you get to a metropolis before telling you there's gridlock. And responds better if you ignore it briefly by turning right instead of left - reroutes immediately rather than bang on about making a U turn when possible.

OTOH, if you just want to get in the car and drive without all this tech nonsense, PCM is just fine.
