Hi All,

Does anyone have any knowledge on how maps get updated on a 2014 Macan? Is it a dealer only job?

I've done it myself before on BMWs and Minis with dvds and usb sticks but can't find much info out there for Porsche (and I'm new to them)

I've seen talk about the PCM being updated, is that relevant to my year of car?

Ok found this, is that the only option for updates?

Possibly, but also check out ‘Subsequent installation of Real Time Traffic Information’, same price. It suggests navigation updates are possible via your phone.

Check with your OPC who should be able to confirm your options.

So, garage said today the newest maps are from 2 years ago apparently? They advised me to hold off because a new update should be coming next year??

I get a very similar story from my OPC, although in the summer they said the major update would be coming in the autumn. Still no sign of it!

These cars seem like such a hassle to update compared to others, there's very little info out there on it.

Last time I updated a cars maps was on a 2013 mini JCW, I paid £15 to a polish guy on ebay for the map file / activation code and £5 for a usb stick

Ah I missed your post! So version 16 was the latest at that point then? What was the charge if you don't mind me asking? My OPC said it'll be £330...

Suncoast have the answer it seems...

But dare I say this is pretty shocking, no updates since April 2015?! Starting to wonder if they'll actually release maps in 2019.

"Your dealer is correct, the only maps available at this time is the 2016 version which it was release in April of 2015. No news from Porsche on when new maps will be available at this time, sorry.

Thank you for contacting Suncoastparts.com and have a great day!
