Hi

First post so apologies it's a question! The forum was a great help when deciding on a macan, so hoping to add some proper input

I took delivery of my new (used) macan today - a July 2016 GTS (2017 model year with PCM 4.0, which I think all GTS' have)

I cant get carplay to work no matter what... if I plug my phone in (oem cable, iphone R) it says 'ipod connected' and that's it - no carplay option or button.

I've tried resetting the PCM and made sure siri is switched on in my phone settings. Is carplay definitely standard in the 2017 MY - my dealer said it was, although he did get a few other bits wrong? I have connect plus (I think - I have the connect app and can see where my car is etc and also have the opportunity to upgrade to a tracker/safety subscriptions).

Is there a solution I'm missing?

Hi max and welcome to our forum.

Can you post an image of the Home screen on your PCM, ignition on, so we can see the phone connection icon etc at the bottom of the screen?

My 2016 ‘66 GTS does not have carplay, despite having the “new” PCM 4.

Connect / connect plus and carplay were all optional for a short time during May / June / July builds before coming standard in late ‘16 (you can almost certainly upgrade to carplay as a dealer option for some ££s)

Oh dear - that would be a real problem as I specifically needed CarPlay and was told the car had it. I may well be learning an expensive lesson here! At least I have the nav module.

I’m waiting for the dealer to call me back as he thought the car had it and couldn’t figure out over the phone why it wasn’t working!

Daft question but you have enabled car play on your iPhone and got it to search for the car?

I think Connect Plus became standard across the Macan range from March '17, together with the inevitable price rise!

maxf - do you want to post that image I suggested?

I will do - but didn't get a chance last night.

Is there any way I can tell if I have connect plus? I have nav with traffic updates and the porsche app so the car is definitely 'connected' somehow!

Unfortunately this is a little sour, as I noticed yesterday the folding mirror on the NS is folding in too far and ends up touching the trim, which has scraped paint off the mirror housing.

Yes I have and it doesnt find any; my wife is going to check later with her slightly older phone to make sure it's not an issue with the latest IOS.
