The tailgate strut clips have rusted on my 2016 Macan can’t find just a clip replacement only complete struts any help please

I can't help with a solution, but it has been discussed previously on the forum here (together with some DIY remedies): https://www.macanforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=7797&hilit=tailgate+rust

I just re-checked mine and there isn't a trace of rust - they look exactly like they did in my photo last August. I suspect the rusty ones are a bad batch. Can an OPC not provide a replacement?

Hi Paddy

I took my clips off and resprayed them myself they are ok now, as usual this is another thing Porsche wouldn't cover under
the extended warranty my car is a Macan S diesel 2015 model.
