The sunblinds sink behind the doorcard when not in use and there is a permanent hook attached very firmly to the door frame at the top. I wouldn't think it is a DIY job to replicate. The tinted glass helps but doesn't completely cut out bright sunlight on children in the rear and my blinds have seen some use.

Retro fit is an easy DIY job it is the cost..... £600 for blinds and the cost of 2 new door cards!

My car was already specced up when I bought it and initially wondered why blinds were specced with tinted glass, but in fact they have been used on occasion and I think they add something to the car at a modest cost. I also have rear heated seats and pockets in the back of the front seats and with the Alcantara headlining altogether makes the rear a nice environment for passengers.
