You can try to manually squeeze the bottom of the drain tube. If it is just stuck there it may empty the water build up

No quick fixes! There are drain tubes in each of the 4 corners of the pano roof. The front tubes exit behind the plastic front wheelarch liners, so you'd need to remove a wheel and take out some screws in order to access the bottom of the tube, which may well be blocked. I'd be cautious about trying to poke anything down the tube from the top, as the routing of the tube isn't straightforward and you may disturb a joint. You could try gentle air pressure. Good luck!

Out of interest, as leaks from the pano roof (and screen washer system) are a "characteristic" of the Macan, could you advise if the car is under extended warranty and whether the drain tubes were checked (and cleared if blocked) at your last service as they should have been?

Thanks for the advice guys.
My car has the extended OPC warranty and I’m waiting to hear from them. There was a full major services last March ( before I bought the car) and this is the first leak I’ve had so far.
Given the current weather I don’t fancy routing around under the wheel arches I think it’ll be a trip to Porsche.

If you bought the car from an OPC since March I'd take it back to the same OPC if possible.
Although drain tube clearance is chargeable I'd be creating about the stupid design and would hope they'd do it as a goodwill gesture.
Be nice, to start with. Speak with DP if any issues.
Oh... and whenever we've had an issue (we've had several, albeit in the first two months of buying used) the OPC has come and collected our S and left another Macan, full of fuel, no need to refill it. Then delivered ours back... full of fuel!

Best to get it to a dealer. If not just so it is logged for future evidence.

MK1 Focus RS’s we’re notorious for this. Mine was back and forth to the dealer loads of times. Every time it heavily rained, the passenger footwell was soaking wet.

Complaints logged to Ford HQ resulted in the dealership getting bollocked (Red letter) and the car being taken away to a specialist dealer.

New windscreen, seals, carpets etc. plus a door ding Fixed FOC as well as the next service.

If you log it with Porsche, and your dealer can’t fix it, then you need to complain to Porsche HQ. If the carpets are getting soaking wet when it rains, then it’s only right to insist they’re replaced once the leak is eventually fixed.

I had this issue, albeit a very minor leak, in my car which I bought in October from OPC Brooklands.

Before I bought the car I asked them to check and clear the drains which they said they had done so I was surprised and a little annoyed that there was a small amount of dampness on the drivers side A post a couple of months later. I got in touch with the OPC and they took the car in for a couple of days and lent me a one month old Macan T for the duration.

It seems it wasn't the drains as they resealed the roof cassette and so far (touch wood) all seems well so I would get in touch with your dealer.

Currently going through exactly this myself but on the drivers side. Had to park the car somewhere recently where it was on a slight sideways slope for a week, so any water would run from the passenger side across to the drivers side. After a few days of rain I was out in it and noticed what looked like a water mark in the leather on the dash at the bottom of the A pillar, which was also damp on the alcantara when I felt it at the bottom.

Ironically I was on my way to the Porsche dealership at the time to pick up some all weather mats I'd ordered for it. Got one of their service guys to come out and take a look at it while there. He opened the pan roof and the wind deflector was soaking wet to the touch. Then lifted the drivers side mat and the carpet was wet along the edge. This was a week before Christmas and the earliest they could get me booked in, without a courtesy car, was 17th Jan. So it's going in next week to be looked at and I hope sorted.

I only bought the car from them in August and one of the questions I asked as part of the process was if the roof drains had been checked/cleared recently. Which according to their system, they had been. So I'm not expecting to pay for whatever's needed to put it right.

Weirdly, since I've been able to park the car straight again, despite the torrential amounts of rain we've had since, it hasn't become wet again. Which is a relief as I'd had fears of it getting worse and worse and the leather/alcantara becoming water marked.

So yes, I'd definitely take it back to the OPC. Hope you get it sorted. Not what you expect on a car like this!
