I have a similar problem with the dashboard on certain roads. Do you know what the technician did to fix it? Do you think it's a DIY job?

Just a quick update on the creaks and clunks.

First of all, the creaks from the rear suspension have now gone away. Something must have bedded in.

I have still not visited the OPC about the clunk from the gearbox area but I have isolated it a bit more. I now know that the noise happens as the car passes 10mph rather than when second gear is selected. I know this because, if I put it in manual and keep it in first gear, the noise happens every time. So, can anyone else hear any noise like this as they pass 10 mph? It sounds a bit like the click from a solonoid.

Giz9 .... have you set your central locking to "drive away" ? If you have then this "clunk" could be the central locking kicking in. Thats how I have mine set and I get the voice when it locks. If you sit in the car and then lock the doors while stationary and see if the sound is the same.

Good idea jenksho! Unfortunately, it doesn't just happen the first time you acclerate through 10 mph. It happens every time on that particular journey. Which is why it is so irritating Angry.

If none of you lot have got something similar, I'm sure the OPC can do something.

I do wonder if it has something to do with PTV+ though, which might make a difference. Maybe it changes the behaviour of the rear diff above 10 mph? Perhaps other PTV+ owners could comment?

@Giz9, I have a Diesel built Jan 2015 with a similar clunk.
When in 2nd gear @ 1200rpm, a slight clunk can be heard. If accelerating harder, this can be heard at 1900rpm and once again only in 2nd gear.

After a week at the dealership they said "It's all within spec"
It's annoying but with the radio up, I can't hear it.

Maybe that's my problem. Very rarely have the radio on!

I think your problem must be different to mine as I can make mine happen when I hold it in first gear.

I've just had a Transfer Box replacement. Is your issue purely a noise or is there any physical element to it? any jerkiness or juddering during acceleration?

Just a noise. A click really. It is how often it happens (every time you go past 10 mph) that makes it so irritating!

I now have this same noise at exactly 10 MPH ..... it wasn't there from the start. I must admit that it does sound like a solenoid .... wondering if it's anything to do with Start/Stop. I agree it is VERY irritating
