My friend and I went to LeMans last year in his GT3 RS... He booked for the High / wide carriages..
When we got there they tried to make us go in the standard carriages, but my friend is used to this.
He carries a letter from his doctor explaining he suffers from claustrophobia... they always let him in!

Just seen this post.
We are off to France shortly.
Had already booked in as standard but contacted them yesterday after reading this and they ammended it to high vehicle with no fuss whatsoever.
Thanks, I doubt platinum finish 21" would look good curbed â‰ï¸

Yes, much wider as you can see ... been booking as a high vehicle for a few years now, never queried, we need to protect our wheels.
There will be 10 Macans in convoy in early June, all booked as high vehicles, should look good, photos will follow
Could be 11 on the way home. What time is your return train?

I always book the Cayenne in as a high vehicle after we were parked on the lower deck next to a stairway to a toilet on the upper deck and my wife couldn't open her door wide enough to get out of the front passenger seat, which I consider very dangerous if there was a fire.

no need GB sticker if EU plates, well at least for the next 2 yrs ...
I will stick a Ruritania plate on the car after that. If I can afford an EU visa.

I'm pretty sure you don't need a GB sticker if you have Euro plates. I never use one and have never been stopped.
Gents - I needed an oval GB sticker because I never had, nor ever did have or ever would have, Euro-style number plates. Stuck it on the rear window to avoid damage to paintwork. Always best to minimise the chance of a 'conversation' with, and the attention of, zealous Euro police officers.
This from the AA website .................
GB sticker - You must display a GB sign and could be fined if you don't.
If you've got euro-plates (number plates including the GB euro-symbol) you don't have to display a conventional GB sticker within the EU.
- Outside the EU, some countries still require a GB sticker even if you have euro-plates, so it is always safer to display one.
- The letters must be black on a white, elliptical background. They must be at least 80mm high with a stroke width of 10mm.
