Update:
Dealership responded to my e-mail very promptly and very apologetic re exhaust tips. We've agreed (despite their offering) that there's little point in putting a third set on unless Porsche can confirm they've changed the type of coating / paint.
The dealership say they have escalated to technical and await their reply. They did say that if it was a "common" issue accross the network it would get a more speedy resolution (so all of you GTS drivers out there.....get complaining )Paul2017-02-27 21:08:52

Got exactly the same problem on my RS4. They were replaced under goodwill by Audi and I applied a thin layer of grease to the bottom which appeared to work but didn't keep on top of it and the new ones are starting to show the same issue. The next option I will be discussing with my dealer is to keep a set banked at the dealer and when I come to sell my car I'll swap them over.

If I'd paid extra for the black tips on the Macan I'd be looking for a swap back to silver and refund of the option cost.

Sounds very sensible Paul.
Keeping an eye on mine and will advise.
I wonder if it's more related to mileage driven or just a period of time for the putting to happen?
My GTS is in the garage and only been washed twice so might take a little longer?

I've noticed the same now after 3800 miles on my petrol S. I think I will make contact with the service dept so they can escalate and that will be one more on the list. Hopefully it gets prioritized with a permanent fix.

My. GTS ones are looking decidedly speckled after only 1200 miles! It might be interesting to see if it's model specific. The SD I had previously didn't show any signs of this after 6000+ miles. Anybody with a petrol S had this issue? Or is it a GTS specific issue?Towser2017-03-01 19:05:46

I've got the black PSE on my SD, retrofit so had them about 2,000 miles. Mine still look fine, wonder whether it's a petrol only problem?

Hi Guys

I had my Turbo tips replaced last year, and now my GTS tips, after only 3,300 miles are looking shocking. They are being replaced in a couple of weeks time

Regards
