Hi Porker

Unfortunately I don’t have the roof rails. That’s the only thing missing on my Macan to have made it the perfect spec.

I landed back in U.K. this evening to a voicemail message stating the leak is believed to be the sunroof and a new ‘cassette mechanism’ is being installed as soon as it arrives having been ordered.

I’m not sure this is anything like what others have suggested to date as doesn’t sound like the ‘panoramic roof drains’

However as stated, I love the Macan itself I’ve just been unlucky with the issues I’ve had to date but it’s also interesting to know the amount of brand new parts fitted to date :)

A point of interest is my DS has Sports+ !!! I find it odd on a diesel but hey, I didn’t spec it, the original owner ticked most boxes :)

So I thought if I left the car outside for an whole night to dry out(it's really cold here now) I get the same thing when entering the garage, the whole car get wet. It's really irritating because I can never keep my car really clean and it takes away from the pleasure of owning such as beautiful car.

Hi Ponbon, re external condensation, are you somewhere in Sweden? If so I guess your current temperature is what -5 -10c or lower, with humidity say plus 90? If your garage is heated in anyway your car will certainly be wet all over.

Yes, you're right. Those are the weather conditions at the moment. Haven't found any solution so far which sucks. I'll leave it outside occasionally to let it really dry out and let the wax stick. Then it looks great :) Looking forward to spring time..I'll add some ceramic coating and new wheels. It's going to be great :D Best car I've ever owned hands down!

The cassette is the whole panoramic roof frame into which the glass fits. It has the mechanism that opens and closes the roof.

I hope your warranty covers it! I had a new roof in my A6 and it came to 3.5K.

I hope so to!!! They just ordered without consulting me.
It’s hardly a wear & tear item. I can count on one hand the amount of times I have opened the sunroof in my ownership :(

Unfortunately it’s one of those things that if you have it, you need to use it (a bit like air conditioning!)

Finally have the Macan back.

The panoramic roof cassette mechanism was replaced as the ‘believe’ that was the issue after several tests. Im lead to believe the glass was not replaced just refitted which is understandable.

They confirm all the drains were clear and they cleaned them anyway.

Vehicle was returned nice & clean & more importantly dry on the inside.

Lets pray thats fixed the issue and moreso no more for a long time as its been off the road too many times in my short ownership.

Thankfully covered by the warranty.

I’ve also learnt this morning that both sun visors were replaced with brand new ones!!
