Do you get a different rear diffuser when you spec the factory fitted electrically extending towbar on 2019 Macan S please?
The Configurator seems to suggest it looks different, but only shows the hitch extended? You seem to lose the vertical bars/ducting - which look cool.
Any pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Is the rear diffuser difference with electrically extending towbar factory fitted?
I have the base model with sports exhaust and towbar. I'm not sure if the S is different but here's a picture of the rear of mine with the towbar retracted.
Sal

2019 Volcano Grey Macan Arrived 6th May 2019
After reasonably extensive research, I’ve identified 3 types of rear diffuser - pictures to follow....
I optioned the retractable towbar on my first Macan - the diffuser had a slot/aperture.
I changed it to a used Turbo, that had no towbar - thus standard diffuser (no slot, and deep vanes).
Reluctant to spend the silly money (>£900) on a retrofit OEM electric retracting bar, I recently fitted an as-new, secondhand Westfalia towbar kit with removable swan-neck arm/ball.
The towbar kit was c£90, new electric kit £135 (no coding required), and a second hand rear diffuser £45.
I wanted to keep my original diffuser so I could easily/quickly return the car to original spec, & spent time online trying to source a used, cheap, OEM ‘slotted’ diffuser ( new >£200).
In the end I bought an as-new standard diffuser, and cut a suitable slot myself.
Now for pictures...
PS - my Macan’s are Mk1, but think Mk2’s are the same.

I think the diffuser on Sal’s Grey Macan is like that in the 3rd photo - wide slot, and 3x slim / slightly raised ‘vanes’.

For completeness, here are some further photos:
- standard diffuser before fitting Westfalia towbar
- showing how the diffuser is fitted to the (painted) rear bumper valence by a series of plastic slots/clips
- the smallest diffuser slot I could make (13 pin electrical connector swings down on a rotating plate, swan neck towball plugs in vertically)

Sal, thanks for the photo. That really helps.
Below is another photo I found on AutoTrader showing the same rear diffuser with electrically extending towbar.
p.s. Lovely looking car
