Saw a car today with a couple of scuff marks on both front wheels - only in one 4-6 inch area

I know diamond cut can be a pain but assume these can be fixed?

On my experiences. Depending on where you are located and size of wheel, assuming 21” app £150 a wheel. Usually takes up-to one week and whether you have the means to supply wheel and tyre only or want to leave the car with the repairer to handle, the removal and refit could be around another £20/30.

Normal alloys are done from £50 a wheel if you take them the wheel, diamond cut ones are more than double that, but even then they are easily done, and on a Porsche costing tens of thousands it's a drop in the ocean to make it look right. ;)

The other problem with diamond cut (which do look nice) is that you can only refurb them about 3 times depending on the style and damage. To refurb them they have to machine down the face to get it smooth and therefore are taking material away. When I used to have my E46 M3 lots of people ended up getting their painted in a similar look to avoid the disadvantages - but a painted wheel didn’t look quite as a good as a real diamond cut / lacquered wheel.
