A set of tyres annually on a Q7!

That's mad - is that due to the weight?

Depends on which size?

BMW X5's in M-Sport spec with the staggered sizes on the bigger rims can be known to wear out the rubber band profile rear 315's in under 10k miles, as well as the outer edges of the fronts.

And those 315's are not cheap.

Its one of the reasons I ordered my X5 in SE spec with the square all around sizes in 19" rims.......and I got 40k miles out of a set of all seasons....was still on the factory tyres at 5 years old!

Our Macan SD has had two sets of replacements in 121,000 miles. Michelin Lattitude Tour. 60k on each set, unbelievable.

I guess so, the Q7 is on 21" rims and two and a half tons. We've had a few different brands over the years and all wear about the same, around 10k miles give it take.

No launch on the diesel lol, but the wife thinks that the accelerator only has on-and-off positions, which probably doesn't help.

Tyres are 295/35/21. Always aligned well, a buddy has a Hunter machine at his garage. The car does a set of front pads annually as well give or take.

My 22 plate Macan S is at Porsche Bolton having a drive shaft/CV joint replaced under warranty (see other thread). Whilst there the car has had a free health check.
Tyres are Pirelli Zero's, car has done 10600 miles in just over 12 months. All tyres are above 5mm tread depth currently.

This car is driven hard (badly?). Don’t think I would want to be a passenger. The brake and tyre wear are off the scale, even for a car of this size and weight.
