Got a puncture after only 1500 miles. They are doing some building on my street, wonder if the nail came from there.

Anyway, got in the car to go out, tyre warning that right rear is down 20 psi; have a look and it doesn't look too bad, but after a more careful comparison I can see it is down. Eventually I find the nail.

So, wheel off.

Get puncture repaired, and wheel back on. Torqued up to 160Nm.

Unfortunate. Do you have a new tyre or did they repair it?

There was no 'they', just me! I had it repaired.

It's always annoying when you get a puncture on a new tyre.

Who did you get to repair it?

When I got a puncture Porsche didn't do repairs, only new tyres.

I took it to the local 'tyre centre' who did repair it. But managed to gouge the paint around the wheel weight when prizing the weight off, and replaced with a shiny wheel weight that went rusty in 3 weeks.

I know it's a little bit OCD but it looked so out of place.

It's a Snap On Techwrench 250.

I am fortunate to have people I trust to repair the puncture. But I did take the wheel off myself and put it back on myself so I maximised the bits that I was doing!

Was that a cleaning spray? Hopefully not lube applied to the wheel bolts.

It was to wipe down the hub mount once the surface rust had been cleaned off.

And following the discussion on trolley jack use, did you have an adapter or a suitable packer/ piece of wood? Did that go OK?
