I had this problem on my previous car, an xc90. Many times the wheel alignment said all fine, causing much frustration. Eventually 4 wheel laser alignment found the rear alignment to be a long way out, which was causing the pull to one side that needed constant steering correction and hence uneven front tyre wear. After correction the wear was perfectly even. Don't give up!

It's very easy to say that the OPC did a wheel alignment check but what they actually did can vary considerably. I spotted early signs of scrubbing on the outside edge of the front off-side tyre (20" Pirelli P Zero) and the OPC used the latest four wheel alignment machine. Problem turned out to be vertical camber misalignment.

Shortly afterwards, the 20" wheels came off for the winter but they are now back on and I can see a different wear pattern after a few thousand miles. As a previous poster has said similar things, maybe getting a full four wheel alignment could be the answer.

Just had my 20k 2 year service. Pirelli's on 21" between 4.3 and 4.7mm all round. Winter tyres have been on for around 3k - 5k miles during the winter months. Seems to make a difference.

Mines on 21” Continentals. Had higher wear on f/o/s tyre at 15000 miles down to 3mm so had 2 new fronts fitted and full alignment. Rears were fine.

30100 miles slightly more wear on the rears, should be good for another 10k, Michelin 20"

My Macan has done 28,500 miles and the tyres are still only part worn. Probably 3 mm remaining above the little marker guides and completely balanced front to back

I've never had such good tyre mileage and I can only put it down to getting older and driving less like a hooligan ;-)

On 20” All Seasons. Had to change the fronts after an ejeet van driver ripped one but the rears are still very healthy after 31K miles. :)

21" P Zeros on an SD and at 15,000 miles the rears are down to what looks like 3mm or below (in for 2 year service soon, so will get the accurate picture)? Fronts have plenty of tread left and all pretty even wear patterns.

I was hoping to get 3 years and 21,000 miles from the rears, but it seems that the addictive torque has eaten them a bit quicker?

Seems I need to use a tyre depth gauge, rather than rely on eyesight, as my tyres are actually 4mm at the rear and 4.5mm at the front, all evenly worn? Based on 7mm from new, that's not bad at all after 15k plus miles?

The all seasons seem to wear very slowly. I still had 6mm all round when I sold mine at a shade under 12k miles
