Oh dear! It's covered in the manual, but then not many people read it do they?

We have had 3 nail incidents in one year:

One new tyre after only 300 miles, but the original could be repaired, so is kept as a spare.
The next puncture was in April this year, and was repaired.
Two nails were in the rear tyre yesterday. Unfortunately, the tyre split when it was removed.
Hubby took our spare to the garage, but it was a front wheel tyre, and the rear wheels have different sized tyres. The garage cannot get a replacement tyre until Tuesday.

When we ordered our Macan, we hadn't thought we would need a spare tyre, as we had never had a puncture in 35 years!!!

What a pain, sounds like you've been very unlucky. Do you visit the tip a lot, or is there construction or demolition going on at home or nearby?

Hubby uses my car for trips to the tip, and we do not live close to any constructions sites.
He is going to make a habit of checking each wheel at the start of every journey to ensure that there are no loose nails/screws around the tyres.

So far, we haven't made use of Porsche recovery. That's a good tip!
