Had a very close call yesterday, but disaster averted thanks to rimsavers. The plastic has some light scoring on it which would almost certainly have taken the paint off the rim were it not for the rimsaver I stuck on from new. They are very light things, half a millimetre or so, but enough to fend off a light scuff. It isnt very noticeable as the photo shows but I suppose it would be easy to pull it off and replace it with a new one.

Good news, but I'd also worry what the wheel underneath looks like when they are removed (due to general grime / grit that has got between them).

No chance of grime getting underneath them as they are backed with a 3M type tape which sticks the thin plastic to only the rim edge. They are only 10 mm wide so no where for grime to lodge. BTW I have no connection what so ever to Rimblades, just thought they were a great simple virtually invisible idea. No one, even those closely inspecting the car has ever noticed them untill I point them out. I cant imagine given how light they are they would stave off anything other than a light graze.

Just needs a bit of a wash after getting caught out in the rain. :? Certainly have to keep your wits about you in the wet on cold tyres and all 450bhp going to the rears. :D
