I was reversing my Macan SD out of the drive this morning (on the way to the OPC to have the summer wheels put on) when there was a loud clunk from the area of the offside rear and the car seemed to drop sharply.

I've just had the video of the free health check and the offside rear spring is broken, the lower part just flapping around. Says a lot for PASM that the car did not feel weird to drive during the 12 mile trip to the OPC. Anyhow, that's £850 fitted  that I would rather not have spent before trading the SD for a GTS.

Anyone else experienced a broken spring?

It’s an industry problem due to reduced spring manufacturing quality. More common in lower temperatures in winter though. Don’t recall an incidence on here although I guess even Porsche isn’t immune from faults originating from a low number of suppliers.

Terrible roads and huge potholes don't help either.
