63 this year had Macan S D for just over a year ,911 for 4 years previous and Boxster for 4 years previous to that . Get more fun and enjoyment from the Macan . Insurance combined with an old Rav 4 and a Caterham is £1250 .... Zurich ... but that includes 3 track days and fully comp on any other cars not owned by me for me and partner ( she actually reduced the premium when I added her to the Macan .

Not the youngest but close to to it. The most common feature in this thread is definitely grey Hair! So in your case 🤔“Rarecolor” is the correct handle. 👍

Grey hair but still have most of it at 71 and insurance has jumped to £395 with NFU, had some lower quotes but not as comprehensive as NFU and the office is a mile away.
Watch the travel insurance increase especially if you include the USA on an annual worldwide policy.
Waiting to test drive a GTS and aim to keep it until the family take the keys off me. :D

Since the 90's (in my teens) I always wanted to own a Porsche (back then it was only the 911 I dreamed about).

Then in my 30's I promised myself that I would buy one by my 40th birthday. That came and went.

Only this year at the age of 44 did I finally take the plunge and bought the Macan. Not a 911 but a Porsche nonetheless.

Life feels complete now.

This will increase the average age,80 this November. On my third Porsche, and probably my last.Always had BMWs ,Mercedes and Audis before.I lost count at 60 new cars.Insurance is around 460,with NFU.I don't drive at night now, and mainly drive the car between the Midlands and Lytham to our holiday home.Just done 200 miles today to check the apartment is ok ,after leaving it for nearly 4 months .Dont bother with holiday insurance any more.Had my last world cruise in 2017, and the insurance was a large part of the holiday cost.Ive seen most places I wanted to see.I don't think I will bother with an electric car.I will probably keep going with ICE models until I retire from driving.I really enjoy this forum, and all the fun you young ones are having in configurating your new cars.

I’m 35 and bought my first Porsche last year (base Macan).
Started driving at 18 with a 94 plate corsa, and then went on through a bunch of makes (Hyundai, Alfa Romeo, Bmw, Vw, Audi, Lexus, and more recently Jaguar and land rovers).
Must admit I have always stayed clear of ‘performance’ cars due to ridiculous insurance premiums. However, slowly getting there and pretty sure my impending mid life crisis will see some sort of GTS, or SVR as my next car. That said, living in Surrey with a bunch of 30 and 40 speed limits and numerous schools I wouldn’t get much chance to stretch its legs. For me the base gets me up to speed very well, and with a nice rasp, but I cannot deny a yearning for something that sounds a bit meaner.
Besides first time caught speeding (by a damn mobile unit) on a downhill heading to a 40 road last year and did the course so need to behave for at least another 2 years.
