Shower Screen & Glass Cleaner

Slightly random topic but when we got our en-suite done I asked the question about using a glass polish (e.g. Gtechniq Perfect Glass or even RainX) after cleaning for more of a beading effect.

I was told that it was already coated and advised soap and water only and squeegee after every use. However being slightly lazy and the shower getting used 3/4 times a day I don’t use the squeegee.

Being expensive I stuck to the advice of soap and water but a few years down the line I can’t really see the issue with giving it a coating when I clean it?

Am I missing something or was the advice of soap and water just a means not to have any problems with guarantee/warranty further down the line of their was a problem?

Hi

I have done this to our shower screen that we have had for a few years now. Coatings need topped up so I give a good clean with Gtechniq W5 dry and apply the G1 glass coating - works great, do it a couple of times a year.

End of thread I think. 8-)

Cheers

I might try some "rain X" to see if it helps.

Showers are a pain to keep clean.

Should Porsche owners have a maid to do things like this ;) ;) ;)

Not old enough (or wealthy enough) to need the maid yet! ;)

We keep a Karcher window vac in our shower. Works well and is more entertaining than a squeegee.
