I know that no forum member would ever allow their exhaust pipe tips to become grubby.

But if they had a friend, like me, with grubby ends, they might like to know that each tip can be removed in less than 10 seconds, by unscrewing one easily accessible torq headed bolt, and applying a quick wiggle.

Clean-up on the bench is then SO much easier.

I used ( oh damn !) ‘My friend’ used Autosol cleaner and a soft cloth, with very VERY fine wire wool (gently) for the heavily sooted areas.

(An afterthought - these are the bright chrome / stainless steel tips. Using any metal polish like autosol on black-finish tips is not advised. See other forum posts on that subject)

Nice to know it's 'easy' to remove as in steal :o Not so easy if one is physically challenged though I guess. My exhaust tips are black. I clean them in situ with a wheel woolly and WD40. I occasionally will spray some wheel cleaner ' Valet Pro Bilberry' inside them and let it soak for 10-15 mins. Place a towel beneath them. Keeps me out of trouble for half an hour!
