I have the aluminium window surrounds - I use the legendary RaceGlaze 0 ppm Filter to rinse the car but I have terrible water marks on the aluminium window surrounds, no marks on the roof rails or skid plates.

Anyone else have this? Any ideas as to how to remove them?

I've tried isopropyl alcohol, Meguiars metal polish but they are no better.

☹️ Same on my black ones......sonax extreme detailer helps minimise but still there if you look hard......

On the black? Bloody hell!

I am wondering about grumbling and trying to get them changed under warranty.

I have water marks on the glass and sunroof despite always using filtered water. Haven't tried too hard yet to remove them but what short of a machine polish will shift them?

A short term solution maybe to try baby oil.
It works a treat on stainless steel hobs/extractor fans etc ,doesn't remove marks but makes them looks better.

I have Not had the problem but Try Autosol

It's cheap and very highly rated.

Also good for the chrome exhaust pipes 😀

I've always used this on shiny bits on motorcycles: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Motorex-Moto-P ... ds=motorex

And have used it on the tails pipes of my Macan with good results.

I have the same on my aluminium window trim. Tried polish and even a mild cutting compound but really not much better.

I was having a detailing day today so tried a few things.

Meguiars Metal polish - nope but makes the trim shiny.
Autosol - as above but a bit harsher.
Lemon juice - Nothing.
Dodo Juice Lime Prime - nothing.
GTechniq EXO reduces them a bit, I was doing the whole car.

I will leave it for now, but it is very annoying and detracts from an otherwise immaculate car.

I happened by chance to use Autoglym Bird poo wipes on the window trims and was happy with the result
