I just spray Muc-Off onto mine, the motorcycle stuff, which I buy in bulk cheaply - works a treat and doesn't damage the paint.

Can highly recommend GTechniq W6 Iron and Fall Out Remover.
Sadly, I only have time to wash my car every few months so there is a mass of break-dust build-up - this shifts it effortlessly.
Come up like new every time.

G Techniq wheel cleaner ( iron fallout remover) works well for me
My wheels are Ceramic coated so I only use the cleaner once a month and G techniq car wash shampoo every car wash

The best wheel cleaner I've found is Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel Cleaner. Brilliant stuff!

This one is for the oldies amongst us. Anyone remember Green Genie?

Now that was a absolute beast of a cleaner.

Probably caused, cancer, mesothelioma, gangrene, sterility and a host of other minor ailments, thank God though EC regulations saved us!

Last year with my Macan at 7 years old the original Gtech Wheel Armour coating was showing its age.

So each wheel was removed.

Treated with Gtech fall out remover

Washed

Clayed

Buffed

Retreated with the DIY version of Gtech ceramic

Result, looks like new and should last quite a few more years.

All I have to do not is retreat the whole car.
