I have spec'd cameras everywhere on the basis that if they save me one bump they've paid for themselves. My primary concern on that topic are the alloys and I am likely to go with the 'Rimblades' recommended by Rabj on here. I was looking at the rims on my neighbour's BMW low profile wheels today and they are a mess.

I wouldn't use Rimblades, I've read that if they decide to come unstuck at speed you risk of a half unstuck Rimblade flapping about damaging the car. There are also reports of people having fitted Rimblades which did nothing to protect the wheels during a light scuff. Who really wants cheap plastic stuck to their beautiful Porsche wheels.....

That's worrying - I will investigate.

I am a bit confused with how best to treat the leather having read last week either here or on pistonheads that most car leather was now sealed.

Which would be a shame as using some nice smelling leather cream is much more satisfying than a damp cloth!

Despite all comments to the contrary (mainly by the people producing and selling the various treatments,) modern car seats are painted leather with a protective clear coat finish.

You can rub stuff on and polish it off but all you are really doing is putting a coat of whatever on top of the lacquer.
