2016. Just looked and Porsche dont name these as affected by wear and tear. Appreciate they may comment on general upkeep as being a potential cause hence why I'm trying to work out how much work I put into cleaning them at the risk of further damage.

It’s common with all black exhaust tips pre-facelift, don’t know if still the same on later models although can advise that Porsche extended warranties do not cover such items.

Just sent an email to my OPC to see if they could start process of making a warranty claim to get my exhaust tips replaced before the manufacturer warranty expires.
Looking at the pictures am I being overly demanding in trying to get these changed?

Mine were replaced and they were not as bad as this. (But that was back in 2017 when my GTS was 6 ish months old - they would not change them again when the same pitting was again visible a year or so later.)

OPC have agreed for me to take the car in, they will attempt to polish and if unsuccessful then will replace under new car warranty. Car has to be booked in before new car warranty expires but work can be carried out afterwards.
Extended warranty does not cover these parts.

Any ideas on the spec of the black paint used, somehow acquired a scratch , not sure what to use for touch up?

Not exhaust but tried cleaning black roof rails with all sorts nothing I’ve got being successful, a bit obtuse tried Mr Sheen and they’ve come up (and stayed) blotch free for a couple of days now!

black motorbike case paint will probably do the trick. I suspect official Porsche stuff will be costly.
