Dealership offered this treatment for the paint work and inside upholstery for £999. I said it was too expensive and now have been offered it for £450.
Is it worth it? Surprised I got 50%+ off so quick, but guess I am buying a new car from them.
Thanks

Yes..... but go and get it done by the professionals.
Not sure where you are based but that would be money well spent at Reep. I dealt with Ian Fisher and he was excellent (tell him Jim with the low mileage Macan said hello if you ring up for a quote).

As above. The product is the easy bit. Cleaning the car correctly and applying the ceramic is the difficult bit. Remember, you are sealing in whatever is on the car when it done, swirls, scratches stone chips etc and they need to be attended too before application. Even a new car will have the odd mark on it.
Dolomite Silver 'S' with red leather 14 way seats, Pano roof, Bose, Air suspension with pasm, Chrono pack, PDLS, Surround view, 911 turbo wheels, heated screen, spare wheel, ioniser,75 lt tank, black tail pipes, black roof rails.
Finer Detailing in Rochdale. I have used them twice. On my Cayenne a full wash, prep and ceramic coating was £350.
So when is this ‘old enough to know better’ supposed to kick in ?

Wow! The fact that they immediately knocked a whopping 55% off the full price shows just what a massive profit margin these services provide to OPCs!JamienBermy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2019 10:23 am Dealership offered this treatment for the paint work and inside upholstery for £999. I did have my first Porsche protected with Gtechniq by a specialist, but now don’t really think it’s worth it, so would not have the treatment done again. Basically it just makes the car marginally easier to clean in the early years and gives a nice beading effect at first.

I’m hoping that the ceramic coating on my Cayenne helps get this clean again - a bit mucky after a few days in Cornwall and driving down narrow farm lanes.

Mine was supposedly given Gtechniq Platinum by the dealer as a freebie. I actually doubt whether they did anything, and I certainly wouldn't pay for it. Anyone wanting beading can just buy a bottle of Sonax Brilliant Shine, much cheaper!Wing Commander wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2019 6:15 am

Mine is coated with Gtechniq by a professional, took 5 days and £1100. So I doubt what you are being offered is any good.
Be aware that the products you have to buy for cleaning are expensive. Billberry wheel cleaner, pro detailer, surfex degreaser etc, etc

I use the Bilberry wheel cleaner, it's great and can be diluted. Cheap should never be confused with good value.
