I came across a video on YouTube ref cleaning wiper blades that surprised me and it works. WD40 sprayed onto an old sock or old micro fibre brings off all the debris and seems to recon the rubber. Works a treat.

I clean mine with autoglym glass cleaner sprayed onto kitchen roll paper and then wiped over the blade.

I did actually see the same video.

Didn't seem sensible putting oil on your windscreen but might give it a try.

I just normally wipe mine while cleaning windscreen.

Avoid cleaning wiper-blades with paper towels... it removes the edge off the rubber blade. Micro-fibre cloth is best for the wipers. Crumpled newspaper is best for the glass. Both parts need to be clean for optimal performance.

Porsche recommend only water is used, ie no rubbing with anything.

From the manual:

The graphite coating on the wiper blades can be damaged if they are not cleaned properly.

Do not point the cleaning jet directly at the wiper blades.
Do not clean the wiper blades using a cloth or sponge.
To clean the wiper blades, only rinse with clean water.

Graphite coating! I have Bosch aero blades on mine and they work a treat.
