I find the white plastic on the horseshoe annoying and distracting even off during the day...
Not impressed tbh.

Remember an SD S and 2.0 litre Macan are stripped down motors.

Look at the competition and they have far better standard fitments.

LCP is really a no brainer, just tick the box and accept the extra lights you get in car.

It's also very much in the 'cool' white spectrum and looks a bit like a cheap bathroom fitting in the horse shoe section particularly. I think a slightly softer 'warm white' would look better. However, as Col says, worth specifying for the additional lights.

mine doesnt have it and wondered if the lights i have can be upgraded to LED? i'm assuming the extra wiring for the extra lights doesnt exist?

My audi s3 has the LED light package and i love it.... even has led strips along the top of the B&O speakers

Hi all. Just found this thread. I haven't reached lock down yet. Should be start June. A few on here recommend the lcp. I would spec it but can anyone with 17 plate macans confirm that you cant keep the door ambient and footwell lighting on with the horseshoe light off.
If that is still the case think i might go with heated steering wheel or heated rear seats.

Hi, I couldn't decide and went for the heating steering wheel instead. Thought I might regret it but love the heated wheel and don't miss ambient lighting. For the record you still get puddle lights in the door mirrors as standard, which is a must. So the only extras are lights in the footwell, doors and vanity mirrors, if you can live without those then go for something else.

I have the LCP and am happy with it, but trying to find out exactly what extra I have got for the money is quite tricky! Do you get lights in the rear without it? I have the ambient light turned off. I wonder if it might be a bit dark when getting in/out without the extra lights. The trouble is, you won't be able to do a side by side comparison in the dark at the dealership to see exactly what you are getting and if it is worth it.

I had Comfort lighting in the Macan and liked it. The Cayenne doesn't and I miss it.
After LEDs, tungsten lights are like smokey tallow candles.

Cheers guys. Yes i do like ambient lighting in the doors and footwells but if the horseshoe light in roof lining has to stay on to benefit from this then i don't think id like it.
Probably go with heated steering wheel. Never had that before and I would appreciate it

I don't have the lcp but do have the heated steering wheel which is just great. I don't think I would buy a car without a heated steering wheel from now on. I don't miss the lcp, wife does now and again when she complains there is no vanity mirror light so for this reason I would get it next time .....just to shut her up.....but between the two, heated steering wheel all the way. It's not as if there aren't any lights in the car, they just aren't quite as swish as they could be.
Like many people here, I didn't get the lcp as I could not see what I was getting for my cash
