Quick question to which I fear the answer will be a no-no. Does anyone know of the possibility of retro fitting a towbar if you choose the rear and front skid plates for the macan? Don't like the lip, but trying to keep the costs down over choosing the sports design front plus starting to really like the look of the skid plates front and back against a black macan...

I have retro fitted an electric towbar: the instructions said it is not compatible with rear bash plate. The kit comes with a new plastic valence. A brave person might be tempted to cut the bash plate to suit the valence

Yes I'm coming across that it seems from my research.. i've seen a use cut plate but it just doesn't look right. Time to weight up bikes versus looks I think! Thanks

I know what you mean on looks.

I have front skid plate and factory tow bar, back looks fine to me and tow bar fixture completely out of sight. Let me know if you want any pictures or any parts or operation. I am very happy with it, I think it looks SUV business like with something on the back

Did you go for the rear skid plate as well? Or is your the porsche factory fitted one on the normal rear section?

Configurator said no - had to go with standard rear section. I did not mind as back rises due to rear diffuser design. My main goal was to remove low front lip for looks and risk of catching on high curbs and banks when manoeuvring

Yes I think it's either lip or SD package if choosing the towbar - I've decided on the later as I'll only regret not spec-ing it..

Lots of people like the whole SD look. If you have no functional need for any underbody protection the skid plate is superfluous :)
