Public shaming seems to have that effect on them :)
Not sure anything would work with either BA or BT (or Sky come to think of it)
You're probably right. But I have a 100% success rate on all my twitter-based complaints, so worth having the account.

So if I Twite or whatever the term for using Twitter is that my local Jag dealer has cr4p customer service and that is why I am not currently driving one of their cars that they will respond in a positive manner and sort them out?

They might. I was being given the runaround from Jaguar for an F-Pace test drive, so I tweeted about my displeasure to them, then within a day, I had the test drive organised.

Better to try to catch a new customer than to placate an existing one.

I guess you're being ironic, Mike? :|

Traditional business wisdom always used to be that it's cheaper & easier to retain an existing customer than it is to attract a new one? :?

Very much depends on the product and market. Jaguar is a good example of abandoning old customers (because they're cheap and not repeat buying and, frankly, dropping dead) and attracting a new customer to a new market.
So many marques are now selling more to new customers than to repeat.

Maybe I'm behind the times  and working in an industry that places a high value on our existing client bank. I guess that with the Macan, Cayenne and Panamera, Porsche are now attracting very many new buyers to the brand... 🤔
