Quick run on M62 this morning from one junction to another cleared the warning light. Still wasted 16 miles of fuel doing a pointless run as had to drive back of course.

Mark i feel your pain.
I am in the process of handing my diesel back in return for a full refund which is due to happen wednesday. Porsche UK have instructed my OPC to get me out of my car and swapped into a petrol as it doesn't suit our driving style (crazy!!). Anyway, to cut a long story short, i am being given a full refund (3400 miles later) and have been given a build slot of october for the build of a new S petrol. In the meantime, the OPC are loaning me a 2.0 petrol to use until my S petrol arrives.

Great news after all you've been through. And it does show that if you approach it in the right way, Porsche will look after customer

+1. Sounds like a very fair outcome, and October is not far away!

Almost makes me wish I had DPF problems! Still fancy a GTS or Turbo.

That's great customer service. I know of a number of others recently having DPF issues because of driving style (none are Porsche) and they basically are on their own trying to sell / part ex it for petrol.j5kol wrote: ↑Sun Sep 03, 2017 9:47 am Mark i feel your pain.

Porsche are certainly handling things very well based on what I have read so far.
Roll on October for some Petrol power

Funny that I had no issues until the DME software "upgrade". The dpf filter warning never came on during my first 2 years. Now at over 19,000 miles. As for driving styles I had only 5 days before latest warning driven 500 motorway miles in 2 days. Why cannot the software detect that a good time to do a passive regen would be when the car is at full operating temp.j5kol wrote: ↑Sun Sep 03, 2017 9:47 am Mark i feel your pain.

We have a SD that was perfect up until the service and software update 5/6 months ago.
After which it completely went tits up and has caused problems every month with the regen etc.
Think it's been back 5 times since as it goes into limp mode minutes after regen light comes on.
We are still waiting for the fix and I find it mind blowing that it's taken this long.
I only wish we had Porche finance as I would stop paying it, every month they say it's nearly here.
Today I spoke to a friend of a friend who had the update last month and guess what ? one month later it's getting towed on.
Why are they still doing this update knowing they are messing cars up ? Have they cheated the emissions and have no choice but to change the software ?

I also get the grey DPF service light about once a month since the Software upgrade but the light goes out after a short spirited run. Never had the limp mode. My advice is to refuse the upgrade but if you buy a new car you will get the same software anyway. It seems to me that the original software must have been allowing too much particulate to pass through the exhaust without getting captured by the DPF. I suspect in winter we will also start using more adblue than before as it was reported that adblue consumption was restricted in cold temperatures.Drew wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2017 1:05 pm We have a SD that was perfect up until the service and software update 5/6 months ago.
